I had my day all figured out. Was chatting with George the other night and we were talking bout a whole bunch of unfinished work and decided to get it done by Saturday (today). Unfortunately, I slept at 4 a.m. and got up an hr after noon (only becos my dad called). Got up. Ate me breakfast/lunch. Watch anime. Slept while watching anime. Got up and went online. Saw George and chatted. Told him my plan failed miserably. He laffed. Asked me if I wanna go for a gig some where in Sri Hartamas. I said why not.
At the same time, my fren Hamka, was bored and asked me out for fun. Asked him if he was interested going for the gig. He was cool with it. So we went to Lot 10 first cos of his work. He asked me if I wanna eat anything cos he missed his lunch. I wasn't hungry. He felt like having ice-cream. Baskin-Robbins to be exact. "Now you're speaking my language, man" I blurted out. But Lot 10 and Sungai Wang don got no B-R so we settled for Mc D's instead. Hey, ice-cream is still ice-cream, so it was good.
Reached Jam Asia around 8:30 and met up with George along with Seng Yip. The moment I went in, I saw this dude standing on the stage and the first thing that came into my mind was Russell Peters! Wat an uncanny resemblence! Who dat? He is like one of the funniest stand-up comedians I like. You ppl should check him out. He's really funny. I wanted to take pictures with him but I was too shy.
"Anthony by day. "Top Some Bong" by night-ah!"
Saw Jimmy there too! He was there to get autographs for his Deja Voodoo Spells CD. The local bands were not bad. Some were great and some where ok. The only thing I din like was them asking ppl to drink more. They keep shouting "Are you drunk yet?!?! No? Get this ppl more beers man!" Drinking is fine but I don think it's right to influence other ppl. Especially for those who'll be driving. Dammit. More idiotic reasons why I hafta do my fucking PSA this sem.
George and Seng Yip left earlier but I stayed till the very end. Jimmy was nice enough to accompany me. Went for drinks after that with his buddy, Beano. Nice guy. He's an animator and gave me his point of view the working life of an animator. Dammit! I better work harder. A new plan for tomorrow..... err..... ah, forget it.
