FINALLY!!!

After 2 years.... since my History of Art class... since my fascination over the great Leonardo Da Vinci's brilliant works.... since George lent me his copy of "The Da Vinci Code" which surprisingly I finished it in 2 days.... the wait was over. Becos I just came back from the most awesome movie of the year! I fell in love with the book and when I found out that they were making a movie out of this, I was thrilled! This was back in 2004.

I personally went and bought the tickets for me and my frens on the very day of its release. Before watching this movie, I prayed in hope that the movie won't suck or disappoint me. Thank goodness it din. I love the casts (my frens would be raising their eyebrow over this since my non-stop bitching on Tom Hanks playing Robert Langdon... but I'm ok now... cos he tried hard to look the part) and the flow of the story. Although it felt like the whole movie tried to cramp everything which was written within its 2 hrs n 15 mins, I thought the execution was carried out nicely. But I feel for those who din read the book may have difficulty understanding certain parts of the movie.

I was abit upset when certain dialogues of the movie were in French and no proper English subtitles were provided. Only in Malay and Chinese. Forgetting that Bo (my Macedonian fren) was sitting next to me nudging me for translation, I had to do the best I could to interpret what those Frenchies were saying.

I think there'll be more debates on what's right or wrong about this movie but I don care, really. At the end of the day, my conclusion is it's just a story. A damn good story as a matter of fact. The book was great and so was the movie. A must read and watch. Go now! ^-^
