The Day The Music Died
"Ok guys, pls remember to be at the plaza for the party", announced Mr. Goh. Party??? Whatever for la? Apparently, Tan Sri's daughter, Tiffany, organised a gathering for some event so lecturers and students part of a certain course were forced to attend. We wanted to stay in the studio and work on our Fat Skip, well... not me though... wasn't in the mood. The moment we arrived the plaza, some auction was goin on... we could "buy" the company of our lecturers... Noticed how I use the word "buy" like so... hahaha... oh well... non of them were good looking, to me that is. So much for the over-stressing the statement where lecturers are NOT allowed to get involved with the students... now we can "buy" them. HAH!
Anyway, the music was bad. It was bad when some band came up and played their music. Been hearing them playin in the plaza 3 days straight... still not improved. The karaoke by some monkey made me wanted to rip my ears off. Some weird lady butchered a nice Indonesian song. But I was looking forward to hear my lec play his guitar but due to lousy sound system, I couldn't hear shit.
The fashion show was hilariously ridiculous. There was one particular lecturer who I've always thought to be cool cos he had the walk, he was well reserved, he had long hair like any artist would and he smokes a PIPE!!! After seeing him in that fashion show... well, I wished I din recognise him then. And Clare!... Aiyooo Clare... why Clare... why???
For the closing act, the monkey went up on stage and sang his heart out "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes".... nuff said (_ _ ;).........
