Time To Get Experimental

Well, well.... today is my first day of class for my final sem. I was kinda excited actually. Din know what kinda experimental I wanna do with my animation. Most of us still hasn't got a clue how to go about with the experimental. So, Mr. Goh asked us to just draw what's ever on our mind... apparently, we can squeze out ideas that way.... but we were too bored to think... so nothing was pouring out... nothing useful that is. Most of us just clowned around or watch some flash animation. So much for not slacking this sem.

Then Cesar came in and announced "Guys, I wanna inform you about your final presentation". Goodness! It's our first day and he's already going on with our FINAL PRESENTATION??? Then he told us the news... it was a good news, well to me that is... I'm not gonna say it... not yet... wouldn't wanna jinx it or anything... hahaa... what a superficial bitch I am.

Ok... enuff bout that... I was back thinking about my experimental again... need to come up with a good concept. Well... right now, my mind is as almost *blank*. Anyway, been watching Fantasia 2000 or The Last Unicorn which I've just downloaded over the weekend. Beautiful animations, I'd tell ya.

I've always been a Disney fan. Everyone knows me knows that... till the traitors closed down their damn studio! Whatever... I've always love Fantasia. The combination of animation with the synchronization of the music played... masterpiece. Their Fantasia 2000 did not disappoint me at all. I can watch it again and again and again and never get bored. Someone once told me he din get the whole thing and fell asleep. I felt like bitch slapping him to bits. But then again thought to myself... everyone's entitled to their opinion. I decided to let him live.

Now The Last Unicorn has always been one of my fav animations since I was a kid. Then again, I love cartoons.. so... but anyway, this animation really moved me... why? Cos I love anything to do with fantasy, especially magical or mystical creatures. Maybe that's why I love Greek mythology so much but for the life of me, can't remember all the details... but enuff to be informative.
One of Judy's and my favs

Another very entertaining piece

Need I tell you why I love this one?

One of my personal favs... the sprite from the "Firebird Suite"

What a beautiful creature

I can die right now and go to heaven

The Art of Revamping

My blog has been revamped! It looks so yummy now! HAHAA.... all thanks to my darling fren, Daryl, who made this possible... thank you, thank you, thank you... eeeeeeeeeeeeehehehheheee... lookit me... I'm squealing like a lil' girl...

Why Do I Do This To Myself, I Wonder

I'm still feeling rather sleepy after my 4 hr nap... still feeling sleepy... 4 hr nap you'd say... crazy, yet true. The moment I got home, changed, put on some relaxing music and checked into slumber land. I had only 3 good hrs of sleep that morning. Why? It's not like I'm doing any assignments or studying for an exam right? I've just only registered for a new semester just 2 days ago. What could possibly caused my lack of sleep? Can anyone guess? It's becos of my addiction to watching stuff... I can't say I'm a tv addict no more cos tv shows these days suck and I'm usually in front of my pc downloading and watching stuff... need to save up money and buy that DVD player that allows you to run pc files... nicer to watch on tv.

Anyway, Bryan passed to me this "so-called the best series ever made" quite some time ago and I wasn't really into it really. The idea of men beating up one another just survive is not my kind of stuff... wait..but I do like medieval fighting battles... and they are waaayy more brutal.... hmm... contradicting... oh well, where was I. Ok, I just wasn't that interested. But I kept hearing good reviews and mostly ppl (who are guys, I've yet to hear a review from any chick) so I decided to give it a go.

The moment I started with Episode Uno... I was hooked! So hooked... I finished the WHOLE season. No, seriously I did. I watched 22 episodes with an average of 45 mins each in ONE day. I'm not kidding here, k? Frens were shocked and thought I was crazy. Haha...

You're probably wondering what show can be that good to make me stay up all night, rite? Well, it's non other than "Prison Break". It's a brilliant show, I tell you. The plots, the scheming cons, the plans, the ideas, the screw-ups, the suspense...oh I tell you, the suspense.... all in 22 episodes.... How they managed to fit it all in... I don know. But if any of you ever like the "Hou Man Ah" kinda shows... this is a show you definately wouldn't want to miss!

p/s I'm not into it just becos of Scofield, k? There were times where my attention was diverted to other characters as well

Yo Ho, Yo Ho... A Pirate's Life For Me

Yup, finally watched the Summer BlockBuster of 2006... or so I think. It all started with this morning as I entered the college plaza and I was shocked to find the whole place has been turned in a registration area. I guess the staff are getting fat and tired of walking up and down the torturous stairs of LUCT. I met up with friendly familiar faces as I approach my AMD registration counter. I was so happy to see them. I've missed them so. They are the only ones knew me as much as I would know them... in an artistry manner of cos. Other than that, they're just a bunch of weirdos... as am I. In other words, the perfect friendship.

Anyway, was having lunch with George, Daryl, Rachel, Kit and JaKk and we were... (actually just them, I've been missing out alot on summer blockies this year) yapping away about the cool scenes from some movies and I tried not to listen. Why? Cos I'm still hoping I can still manage to catch some of the movies... But they kept rambling on and on with the Pirates... To be honest... I wasn't a big fan of its first let alone to this sequel. But their word of mouth seems promising and we decided to go catch the movie... again.. for the rest of them. That good, huh?

Well, I must say... I did enjoy the movie. I couldn't stop laffing at Capt'n Jack Sparrow's silly character and Davey Jones just sends chills down my spine. I really applaud Bill Nighy's performance as the legend who commands the Flying Dutchman. The story for this sequel is definately has a better flow compared to the first. I was pleased with this one.

Anyway, I shouldn't ramble more on this movie. I shall not be like my frens... talking non-stop and go on and on about their fav parts and hoping and waiting in anticipation for part 3. I wont... I shall not give in to tempation... .......... Ah, who cares! I'm gonna talk all I wan... and below is one of the scenes I couldn't stop laffing earlier today...
Aah... look how stunning he looks as he runs away cowardly. Let's have a close-up, shall we?

Aah... much better

All Becos She's Single

I was listening to the radio and these two monkeys were discussing about a rumour on Oprah with a high chance of probability being a LESBIAN just because she's still single! I was stunned!

They went on discussing about her being successful and she'd come clean if she were a lez. Then they went on saying bout her good relationship with her best friend, Gayle King. Then they went on stating that she is 52 now and still single... then the guy went "Hmmmm..."

Wat idiots! Being single, doesn't make you a lesbian. Wat.. a girl who chooses not to tie the knot doesn't mean she's probably into taco to sausage.

It's Been 7 Freakin Years!

The Stamford Malaccans

It all started with a call I received from Wilson a couple of days ago asking me if I was free on Friday... there will be a reunion for us, the Stamford Malaccans... I'd call it.

The venue was arranged to be at Mid Valley's All Sports Cafe for a dinner... I was kinda excited... it has been quite a while since I last saw them. Them, meaning the reason why I look forward to go to college back then. They gave the meaning of college "fun" ^-^

Who turned up? Let's see.... Melvin, Kah Weng and Wilson were in the middle of conversation when I entered the place... then came Jennifer and Stephanie.... soon Alvin... later came Hasif and finally James (he wasn't a student... he was the Asst. Principal!!! Why he was invited? Becos Melvin still keeps in touch with him... what a brown noser.. HAHAHHAAAA)

Everyone looked different!!! It's amazing what time can do to your look! Kah Weng was right.. if we were to bump each other on the street... we'd probably wouldn't be able to recognise each other...

We were recalling the stuff happened waaaaay back then... the events we did... the performances we organised and "SCM Nites!!!"... hahahaa... they were one of the fondest memories we had.... when someone blurted out SCM Nite (Stamford College Malacca Night), everyone shouted "SPICE BOYS!!!" hehehee...

This was back in 1998, we organised an annual dinner and the committee planned a secret performance. Which was the "Spice Boys". It was all Terence's idea... Each boy was chosen for each character... and the best part was most of the cast was present for tonight's reunion! Everyone was there except one who's currently in Aussie now. Everyone looked at me and started blabbing "It was Lynndy la!!! She was the one who choreographed us with the dance steps... she brought the clothes, right? But whose bra did I wear ah? We stuff wat?? Newspapers???" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.... it was damn blardy hilarious...

We all sat there and chatted and realised out of the blue that none of us were married... cept Wilson... we just din care.. we felt young and marriage wasn't an issue... well... for some of us that is... we're planning another reunion by end of the month.. hopefully.. the lighting there will be much better... then I can post more... ^-^

I Love Vacation

This is another vacation I took for this break. I took a trip down to Singapore to visit my long lost fren whom I've not seen for a WHOLE year. Took the opportunity to scrape up few bucks and head on to see her. Lemme start from the beginning k?

THURSDAY
Went over to Junko's house for a fun Jap lesson. We all cooked together and had dinner. We all given tasks to do our part in the cooking. We had Curry Rice with Miso soup. It was yummy. The recipe is damn simple. I shall post it up for you all next time. For now... Let's focus on my wonderful vacation k? ^-^

The Miso Soup in da making

The Butchered Toufu

The Butchered Toufu - Upclose and Personal

Chika keeping an eye on Akiko's handiwork

Junko guiding Chika

Kentarou and Daisuke

Hiroshi showing Chika the right way of cooking

After dinner, said our goodbyes and we wont be seeing Akiko till end of the year. I'll miss you. Hopefully she'll grow taller than me by then. Hehe...

FRIDAY
Bus got delayed for an hour (as usual) and reached S'pore around 2++ but reached Shan's doorstep at 4pm. I made a mistake and took a damn long train ride all the way. I made frens with this wonderful lady who showed me the way to get to my station. She's Malaysian who's been working there for 51/2 yrs now. Jennifer... hope you're still being a good girl ^-^

I din go out cos I was dead tired. But did alot of catching up with Shan and I told her everything about my project with ANDREW! Oh yes, there were alot of bitching then. Haha... Shan served crabs for dinner... yummy

SATURDAY
I went to East Coast Park to watch the boys practise for their game tomorrow. I loved that place... you can rent a bike, tandem bike, roller blades, jog or take a nice walk there... it's such a lovely way to spend a good weekend. Just check it out.

Some poor dude fighting the strong waves

Sand castle time!

Father & daughter flying a kite

Ahhh.... the sea... the sky

Something called "Gong Gong"? I don remember... but it taste damn good

The boys getting a good workout for tomorrow's big game

Went clubbing later. If anyone of you love clubbing, you'll love this place. High up on the 70th flr of the Equinox Complex, in Swissôtel The Stamford, lies on of the greatest place to par-tay! I'm talking bout the New Asia Bar. You can see the whole of Singapore from up there.

I had a great time there. They played diff selection of good songs to dance to and my frens kept buying test tubes and shots! I was happily whacking them away but unfortunately my girlfren couldn't hold her liquor well. So frequent trips to the ladies and I've made a discovery.

"Women are extremely friendly under the intoxication of alcohol"

I've never made so many female frens in the ladies ever. Women were making sure other women were alright (after the puking and all), women adjusting their outfits regardless who was watching, women kissing women, and I was so high... I had a conversation with some Jap chick in Jap! Haha... that was how wasted I was. But she wasn't in the mood to talk to me... she wasn't wasted enough... yet ^-^

SUNDAY
Managed to drag myself out of the bed and went to watch the football match. It was fine till it rained. Everyone ran to the bus stop. Shan and I had umbrellas so we stayed under the tree and hoped the rain would go away... sadly that din happen. The wind was crazy and my damn umbrella was leaking. My team won 3rd place. They weren't too happy about it. Oh well, next year then.

Then later at night, while the boys were sleeping, Shan and I were trying to keep awake for the World Cup match between Italy vs France. We kept ourselves busy with Scrabbles... haha... haven't played in a while. It's kinda fun.
By the time Italy won the cup, I was the only one up. The others couldn't stay awake to finish the game. Oh well.. next 4 yrs then ^-^

MONDAY
I was suppose to go back today but Shan talked me into staying for another day. I gave in. She took me to IKEA. I was curious to see how big it is compared to the one in Damansara. There was no comparison. The IKEA in S'pore is just as big as IKEA when it was back in One U. But everything is cheaper there though... that is if you are earning Sing $$...

For instance, Shan bought 2 rugs, a quilt, a quilt cover, a candle holder, a flower pot, 2 small boxes, a vase, 2 flowers, beads and"baja" and it all costs her S$ 109. That is some good shit goods... if it were in M'sia... it'll be like RM300.

TUESDAY
I decided to take the 1pm bus home so I can do some last-minute shopping before I head home. Left Shan's house around 10 am thinking I have plenty of time to shop. Due to navigation problems and not knowing where's where. I ended up with only 1 1/2 hr to do my shooping. What do I ended up buying? Lingerie... yes, I'm obsessed... along with some other obsessed stuff I needed. You know girls... stop shaking your head!

Managed to check in in a nick of time and was on my way home... ah... home... traffic... oh good god...
In the bus, on the bridge... looking at home

I loved this trip. Made a lot of frens... international frens actually... loads of fun. Until next year.

Attention Grabber

Him: I dunno if that girl was staring at my tattoos or your boobs.
Me: Probably both. They're both pretty eye-catching, don you think?

He glanced down on me and said " Uh-huh" ^-^

We Bonded

"Is the toilet fixed yet?", my dad asked while sipping his *Joly Shandy. I told him no and I was frustrated. I need a working toilet.

He brought me to the toilet downstairs and showed me where to look and how to unhook the damn thing. I immediately ran upstairs and unhook the flusher and inspecting it. My dad came up behind me and realised the problem.

"This is not connected properly", he said while fixing it. Then he flushed it. It worked! I was glad.

It's been a while my dad and I bonded. Who knew all it took was a trip to the bathroom.

*Joly Shandy - a family drink which contains damn low amount of alcohol that allowed anyone of us to drink freely without anyone at each other's throats

There's Still Hope

Just got back from my Jap class. It was fun... seeing Akiko san again was great. She's back for the holidays from her studies back in Aussie. It was nice of her to come join us for Jap classes. It's a good thing she din totally forgotten everything. But how could she? Met and made 7 Jap frens and one of them is a damn hot looking Jap guy. I was told he was tall, slender but nicely-built and good looking for a Jap. Dammit...

I kept teasing her to use her Jap homework to try to get closer to him. She just blushed... denied it.. but her red face gave it away. HAHA... She told us that a whole bunch of girls are aftering him. He can't construct a proper sentence in English and I told Akiko that this is a good thing! She can communicate with him and the others can't! She has the upper hand. But she doesn't feel the same way. Okaaaaaaaaay........

Whatever makes her happy... after all... they are frens.. which is a good thing... but I still hope she has a lil' fling with him... I'm such a bad influence.. he he he

The cutest thing she did was she stood right next to me and said
"Nope.... still not taller than you"

"Living in the land of down under for 6 months doesn't mean you'd be taller than me, k? What are you, like 21 already? Your growing days are over", I burst out into laughter.
"I'm not 21 yet. Still got chance", cute Akiko replied.

HAHAHAa.... so cute...

And since I'm going to Singapore next weekend... Junko sensei decided to combine my class with Kentarou's (JaKk) on Thursday. We're gonna have a cooking lesson and have dinner together. That'll be so cool. In a way, it's a going away party for Akiko who'll be heading back to Perth by end of the month...

あきこ さん、 また 会いましょう...
